Richard Keys Has Made Some Mad Managerial Predictions For This Summer

Looking ahead to this summer, it is difficult to remember an off-season that will have so much managerial movement among Europe's biggest football clubs.

The likes of Liverpool, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich will all be on the lookout for new head coaches, although that list could well grow over the coming weeks. Manchester United and Chelsea are two clubs that could be added, with some uncertainty remaining over the likes of Newcastle United, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan (if Simone Inzaghi opts to move elsewhere).

That is without even mentioning the international scene, with some big job in European football likely to open up after this summer's Euros.

In short, it will be an incredibly interesting summer.

While there has been no confirmation on the future of Erik ten Hag, it has been suggested that new Manchester United minority owner Jim Ratcliffe could look to bring in a new manager this summer.

Gareth Southgate has been the name most strongly linked with the role, with rumours circulating that he will leave his post as England boss after this summer's Euros.

Speaking on beIN SPORTS, Richard Keys gave a rather mad predication on football's managerial merry-go-round that could play out this summer.

I've got it.

[Gareth] Southgate to Manchester United. Eddie Howe to England. [Jose] Mourinho to Newcastle.

Jose Mourinho has been suggested as a possible option for Newcastle United should Eddie Howe be sacked this summer, with the Portuguese boss having previously had a friendly relationship with the club's Saudi ownership.

As for Howe, he and Graham Potter would likely be the two main contenders for the England job were it to become available after the Euros.

Still, this is a rather out there football prediction from Richards Keys. It wouldn't be like him to pull something like this out of thin air, to be fair.
