We were ecstatic to learn via the Indo's Dan McDonnell today of rumblings that the LA Galaxy is considering a swoop for another Tallaght man by bringing the great Richard Dunne to California.
This needs to happen for a number of reasons.
Anyone who has travelled to California would agree the West Coast could use a bit more West Dublin. We would also all agree that Richard Dunne has outgrown English football. There's nothing really that the league could provide him at this stage in his career, and breaking his back to find fitness and captain a Villa side that can't even compete with Bradford is an insult to superior reputation in football.
Los Angeles however presents a far greater opportunity for Dunne. Whatever about football, what if Stallone were to remake Rocky IV? Who better to play Rocky than Richard Dunne.
