Yesterday we presented you with a selection of some of the best goals scored by Irish players in the English Premier League and asked you to vote for your favourite. Below are the results, as well as some notable omissions from our shortlist that were suggested by readers.
In third place - narrowly edging out Stephen Carr's piledriver against Manchester United - was Robbie Keane's volley against Arsenal, the highlight of his brief period at Liverpool.

Runner-up, with over 20 percent of the vote, was John O'Shea's lob to round off a 4-2 victory for Manchester United at Highbury in 2005. O'Shea may have earned extra votes for his celebration, as he appeared to have surprised even himself.
But top of the pile with almost a third of the vote was Shane Long's Bergkamp-eque control and finish against Aston Villa on Monday night.
Reader nominees:
Admittedly, our selection was not a definitive list and we did overlook some notable contenders.
Top of that pile was Steven Reid's thunderbastard strike against Wigan in 2005.
Then there was this curler from Simon Cox against Tottenham in 2011.
While on Twitter, Kevin Byrne suggested these two forgotten gems:
Ray Houghton against Manchester City in 1993, featuring a delicious through ball from Steve Staunton.
And Rory Delap was responsible for this stunner while playing for Southampton against Tottenham in 2004.
Some readers felt that Keane has scored better than his volley against Arsenal. Unfortunately we were unable to find video of his goal against Blackburn in 2006, but thankfully Hank Scorpio took time out from his evil masterplan to alert us to it at 4.45 in this video.
