Republic of Ireland International Cillian Sheridan has signed for Wellington Phoenix in New Zealand after leaving Polish side Jagiellonia Białystok earlier this week.
The Irishman joins the Hyundai A-League side after his previous deal was terminated by mutual consent. He claimed the club's style was a key factor in the move.
To play in another country with different challenges is always appealing to me.
I have followed the Hyundai A-League and Wellington Phoenix are playing an attractive style and for a footballer you want to enjoy your football and what Mark Rudan is doing, really sold it to me.

Manager Mark Rudan added that "it's important to strengthen the squad and add quality.”
It is the tenth club of Sheridan's career, having started in Scotland with Celtic before taking in sides in Bulgaria and Cyprus. He could make his debut as early as Saturday, as Wellington take on Adelaide United.
