£66 million is the fee that has reportedly been agreed with Roma for Alisson Becker, as Liverpool seek to solve their long standing goalkeeping troubles once and for all.
BBC Sport, Sky Sports and the Liverpool Echo have all stated that Roma have accepted Liverpool's massive offer for Alisson, who is fresh from representing Brazil at the World Cup, the 25-year-old made five appearances in Russia as the Selecao fell to Belgium in the quarter finals. Alisson is also coming off of a fine season with Roma, keeping 17 clean sheets as his side finished 3rd in Serie A.
The fee for the Brazilian easily eclipses the next biggest transfer of a goalkeeper; Gianluigi Buffon's €53 million move from Parma to Juventus in 2001.
The player is now set to travel to Merseyside to undergo a medical and agree personal terms.
The potential arrival of Alisson to the club sheds further doubt over the futures of both Simon Mignolet and Lloris Karius, with the former's mistake against Tranmere Rovers in a recent friendly highlighting Jurgen Klopp's need to strengthen the number one position.
