A rather unusual report has emerged from Independent.co.uk which claims that former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has penned a six-page latter to Manchester United in order to convince the powers that be at the Old Trafford club that he can change, and is the right manager for them going forward.
It had been believed that the Manchester United board did not trust Jose Mourinho, despite his friendship with Alex Ferguson, and in what seems like a slightly desperate move, 'The Special One' has outlined why he feels that he should be the manager that takes the club back to the top of English football.
Details of what is written in the letter are still unclear, but Miguel Delaney has given an idea as to what Jose was trying to get across.
Jose Mourinho has written Manchester United a six-page letter explaining his strong desire to manage the club and how he would be willing to adhere to United’s principles. He also outlined his plans for the team, and the key decisions he would take.
Mourinho, who was sacked by Chelsea last month, believes that a detailed charm offensive can finally secure his dream job of managing United once his old mentor Louis van Gaal leaves, and that depature is now widely expected to come in the summer.
The timing couldn't be better, and it's clear that Mourinho would be highly motivated should he take the reigns at Old Trafford, which would no doubt see an improvement from the lethargic and hapless performances that have been turned in by United players of late.
Should Pep Guardiola be on his way to Man City, as Guilleme Balague seems convinced he is, then Manchester United will have little option other than to turn to Mourinho, as things clearly are not going to drastically improve under Louis Van Gaal.
So not true Pep met United. He has agreed to join City but hasnt signed yet. That'll happen when Bayern-City is not possible in the CL (2/2)

While he will surely be mocked for this unusual act (and to be fair we have gone with the 'Eminem - Stan' featured image), it may prove to be the move that ensures he gets the job he clearly desires.
We'll wait and see what transpires in the coming days, as the English media will no doubt have a field day with Louis Van Gaal following the loss to Southampton.
