Nottingham Forest defeated local rivals Derby County 3-0 last night but the most noteworthy event of the evening may have came after the game when Ireland international Richard Keogh was involved in an incident with a Forest groundskeeper. The incident - which happened during the Derby warm-down - was the subject of discussion on social media last night amongst journalists covering the match and, according to Sky Sports and the BBC, both clubs are currently discussing possible sanctioning.
Keogh was an unused sub in Derby's defeat and according to some reports, Keogh emerged from the post-match incident bloodied with 'scratch marks on his neck'.
Unfortunate scenes after the final whistle as Derby's Richard Keogh & a member of the Forest ground staff are separated by security on the pitch.

#dcfc Richard Keogh was involved in a scuffle with #nffc groundsman after last night’s Caribou Cup game.
Keogh had scratch marks on his neck though not clear whether groundsman was injured.

Appears to have been a fracas with some of the Derby players who were warming down on the City Ground pitch & members of the ground staff. Sub Richard Keogh came off swearing at the security and he wasn't the only one.
The words "who is that f#*ing bellend" bellowed.#NFFC #DCFC— Sam Matterface (@sammatterface) August 27, 2019
Things seemed to have got ugly after the game. Derby players out for their post-match cool down, but Richard Keogh is bleeding on his neck and goes back into the changing room. Tom Lawrence evidently annoyed. Stadium practically empty but clearly some altercation.#NFFC #DCFC
