After cracking the 100 point mark on Friday night against Aberdeen it’s clear that Celtic don’t need much strengthening if they only aspire to win the SPL each year.
But when it comes to Europe, the Glaswegians have been struggling to emulate the European success they saw under Martin O'Neill and Gordon Strachan.
After Celtic’s embarrassing start to last year’s European campaign, they will be eager to ensure they have a much stronger squad that will fly by Gibraltar amateurs effortlessly and bring back some magical Tony Watt style moments to Parkhead.
It is being reported that Brendan Rodgers is eager to sign Lucas Leiva and Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda.
Lucas looked a dead cert to be playing his football in Turkey last year with a deal that looked done and dusted with Galatasaray, but strangely come the first day of the season the Brazilian found himself back at Liverpool with nobody really knowing why the deal fell through (apparently a dispute between the clubs over wages and a signing on fee).
It’s no secret that the Brazilian will probably be on his way out of Anfield this summer on a free transfer, and Champions League football with his former boss will be a big attraction.
But Lucas’s experience is not the only target on Rodgers’ list, Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda has been impressing on loan at Betis this year making 24 appearances before being recalled to the club in January.

The Daily Record have reported that the Belgian will be allowed to leave the club this summer but that Celtic are more interested in a loan signing.
It’s not all rainbows and butterflies for the fans as there are also reports that Moussa Dembele will be moving south with ManUtd and Chelsea in contention to take on the French striker.
