Even before the embarrassment of being whipped off on Sunday only 18 minutes after coming on as a substitute, it was fair to say things weren't really working out for Moise Kean at Everton.
The Italian has been a bit part player ever since arriving on Merseyside making only two starts in the Premier League. He has also failed to find the back of the net, although he did register one assist.
His lack of form has been surprising when you consider the pedigree he had when he made the move. Even though he is only 18-years old he is a player with exceptional talent.

Everton have certainly struggled to integrate him into the squad, and a report from the The Athletic may gave you a clue as to why this has been the case.
Patrick Boyland reports that Moise Kean was far from a top target for the club this past summer. In fact, he said that when a five-player shortlist of potential striker targets was drawn up by Marco Silva and Director of Football Marcel Brands, he did not even make the cut.
Everton would be knocked back by the likes of Mario Mandzukic before their search eventually led to Kean. Considering this, it is surprising that he has looked like an ill fit at Goodison Park this season.
Duncan Ferguson's decision to publicly put the player on the chopping block in such a public manner is unlikely to do much for his confidence, and it looks like his Everton career could be over before it even gets going.
