MLS champions Atlanta United are reportedly interested in bringing current Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa to the US.
American news outlet the Morning Journal writes that the Argentinian is among two candidates to replace the outgoing Tata Martino, who is expected to take over the Mexico football team.
The other man linked with the job is Boca Juniors' coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto.
Should Atlanta succeed in getting their man it would be a disastrous turn of events for Leeds fans. Bielsa has steered the club to 2nd in the Championship, with many tipping the 58-year-old to bring the club back to the Premier League.
One factor that could play a part in the manager's future is the finances of owner Andrea Radrizzani. The Italian owns sports streaming service Eleven Sports, who are reportedly shutting down the UK wing of their business.
Leeds fans will hope that Radrizzani's other ventures do not have a negative impact on the immediate future of their club.
