Manchester United will be in the market for some reinforcements this summer. While the 19/20 campaign offered some encouragement signs, including a return to Champions League football, improvements will be needed in order to compete for major honours.
Jadon Sancho has been the name most strongly linked. The Borussia Dortmund winger is one of the most sought after players in Europe, with the price tag to match.
It seems that club's ownership may not be willing to sanction that sizeable deal, forcing decision makers to look elsewhere. As a result, three players in Turin could be of interest.
Corriere dello Sport are reporting that Manchester United are interested in Juventus trio Douglas Costa, Federico Bernardeschi, and Aaron Ramsey.
Costa is the player drawing the greatest amount of interest, with the winger seen as a Jadon Sancho alternative. Juventus could be willing to sell the 29-year old but would seek a fee of around €40million, which is said to be €10million more than United would bid.
Bernardeschi would command a similar fee, while it is reported that they would be willing to accept €20million for Aaron Ramsey.
Juventus are likely to sell a number of players this summer as they attempt to retool their squad. Andrea Pirlo has been appointed as manager, with the Italian side looking to retool to make another run at the Champions League while Cristiano Ronaldo is still at the club.
There is little chance that United would sign all three of these players, but each represents a viable options this summer.
It will certainly be interesting few weeks ahead.
