Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal with Shakhtar Donetsk for midfielder Fred, with the 25-year-old expected to undergo a medical at the club tomorrow morning.
It comes after Brazil head coach Tite called on his players to sort out their futures before the World Cup.
When this happens, and it is inevitable, they are going to come to us and our advice to them is resolve this as soon as you can so your head is back with us and focusing on the national team.
Numerous reports in the Brazilian and British media confirmed the deal, for a reported £52m. Fred was in Liverpool today for Brazil's 2-0 friendly victory against Croatia.
The Brazilian midfielder joined Ukrainian club Shakhtar in 2013 from Brazilian side Internacional. He won two league titles, two domestic cups and three Super Cups during his period there as well as appearing in the Champions League.
He missed the second half of last season having served a ban after a positive test for diuretic Hydrochlorothiazide. It came after a sample during the 2015 Copa America.
He is a small player at just 5ft 6in, but skilled with the ball at his feet and has incredible stamina. It would be United's first signing this season, although they are reportedly closed to finalising a deal for 19-year-old Porto full-back Diogo Dalot.
