Manchester United are ready to pay upwards to 60 millions pounds to lure Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford from Juventus. The French international has been a revelation in Turin ever since United or more specifically Alex Ferguson decided the likes of Ji-Sung Park was a better option in midfield and he departed for Serie A in 2012.
The ever reliable Jason Burt of the Telegraph reports today that United are ready to sanction the huge outlay.
There have been conflicting reasons reported as to why Pogba was allowed to leave Old Trafford in the first place with some claiming he wanted an extravagant contract (which, it turns out, he would have warranted) and Pogba himself claiming that Paul Scholes coming out of retirement and him watching on as Rafael and Ji Sung Park were selected ahead of him in midfield for a league game against Blackburn were the straw that broke the back of his time in Manchester.
Whatever the reasons, it would represent a huge about-turn from United but anyone who has seen him tear up Serie A these past few seasons would tell you; it'd be worth the red faces.
