Liverpool are looking to match Arsenal's £30m a season deal with Emirates with their next shirt sponsorship deal.
Bloomberg reports that the club are seeking a £10m increase from their current deal with bank Standard Chartered which expires in 2016. Liverpool signed a four-year deal worth £80 in 2010 and then extended that deal in 2013.
In a statement issued to Bloomberg, Liverpool said that they are involved in negotiations with Standard Chartered to continue their partnership.
We are engaged in ongoing conversations with Standard Chartered regarding extending the partnership and continually delivering excellent commercial and community value. As a matter of commercial confidentiality Liverpool FC does not comment on any discussions with current and potential partners.
Japanese company Nomura Holdings is named as another possible sponsor but any new deal is likely to be dwarfed by the £47m a season which Man Utd are getting from Chevrolet.
