It has been a terrific start to the season for Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, with the Reds unbeaten so far in the PL as well as conquering PSG in the Champions League.
Their run has been put down to many things, but according to SportsBild, Liverpool's good form could have a more unconventional explanation.
The German news outlet sat down with former swimming world champion Mark Warnecke, who revealed that he is working with Reds nutritionist Mona Nemmer (formerly of Bayern Munich), and has created two special mineral drinks to help to 'significantly speed up regeneration after exercise'.
The two drinks come in citrus or orange flavour, with SportsBild calling Warnecke's tonic Liverpool's 'secret drink'.
Warnecke became the oldest world swimming champion since 1971 when he won the 50m breaststroke title at the 2005 World Aquatic Championships at the age of 35.
Maybe Warnecke's tonic is the real reason behind James Milner's recent run of good form. Well it's either that or Ribena.
