Manchester United defender Lee O'Connor has joined Celtic on a permanent deal, with the Scottish side tying up the transfer before the transfer window shut last night.
O'Connor had been at Manchester United since 2016 and has starred for their underage sides. He was considered a real first team prospect at the club, and had been included in their Champions League last season.
The 19-year old is a versatile player and is capable of playing anywhere across the defence. He has recently lined out at right back for the United U23 side, registering this fantastic assist last week.

O'Connor captained Ireland at the U19 European Championships during the summer, leading the team to the semi-finals. He has been named as Stephen Kenny's U21 squad for the upcoming qualifiers, where he he will be expected to play some part in the games.
It is a bit surprising that United were willing to let the player leave on a permanent deal, but this should be a huge coup for Celtic. He is capable of stepping into the first team right away and his versatility should help him in this regard.
He joins Jonathan Afolabi at the club, his Ireland U19 team mate who signed for Celtic a couple of weeks ago.
