Rumours of Thiago Alcantara joining Liverpool next season began to gain momentum two weeks ago, and this morning, we have the clearest sign yet that the transfer could be on the cards.
According to German daily Bild - who first reported the Thiago-Liverpool link - Jurgen Klopp has given his personal sign-off on the transfer. Bild also report that the personal terms of the transfer has been agreed by both parties and the only stumbling block remains the Spainard's wages. Liverpool value the player at €25m. Bayern Munich are looking €40m.

Obviously Klopp's sign-off is an essential part of any transfer that Liverpool would make. However, the question remains: how does signing a 29-year-old with Thiago's injury history square with the transfer policy of Martin Edwards?
Thiago is NOT a typical Klopp-signing.He is 29. Been struggling with injuries at times. Still got more than 30 games a season in all competitions for Bayern since he came 2013 though.@cfbayern got reliable sources, but will the Liverpool -owners say YES to this “player profile”? https://t.co/ia2UylHWVG
