After being considered well down the pecking order in the Liverpool squad at the start of the season, Adam Lallana has gone on to make some vital contributions over the past few months. His goal at Old Trafford ensured his side remained unbeaten in the league, while he also played very well off the bench on a number of other occasions.
With his contract expiring at the end of the season, many thought he had played his way into a new deal. Liverpool supporters certainly seem more open to the idea of him remaining at the club than they have been in the past.
A player of his experience certainly isn't a bad thing to have in the dressing room, while Lallana is often labelled as a model pro. However, it is rumoured that he is in search of regular first team football. If he does move on it looks like there will be a number of interested clubs.
The Telegraph are reporting that Arsenal, Spurs, Leicester City, and West Ham are all interested in signing the England midfielder.
Brendan Rodgers is apparently keen to re-sign Lallana, having brought him to Anfield in 2014. Leicester will also need to bolster their squad ahead of the likely addition of Champions League football next season. Spurs and Arsenal could also do with adding to the squad, with the Gunners in desperate need of reinforcements in midfield.
West Ham look like the outlier here and could well be in the Championship by August.
All four clubs would offer Lallana more playing time than he has been given at Liverpool. A reunion with Rodgers could be the most attractive proposition considering the good relationship they previously had, while Leicester are also arguably in the best place out of all these options.
It is certainly one worth keeping an eye on in the coming months.
