Manchester United are targeting the signing of Republic of Ireland international Denise O'Sullivan, according to reports in England.
The Corkonian is currently under the books at North Carolina Courage of the National Women's Soccer League in the United States, where she captains the side. She has played every minute in the team's eight NWSL matches so far this season. The Courage are currently sixth in the table.
The centre-midfielders contract is due to run out in January of next year following the end of the current NWSL season in November. But sources from the Daily Mail are reporting that Man United are expected to place a bid for O'Sullivan in the summer window.
O'Sullivan, who is a lifelong fan of the Red Devils, is reportedly open to moving closer to home despite being offered a new deal by her current club in the States.
Man United are currently sitting in fifth place in the Women's Super League, and are currently preparing for their Women's FA Cup final tie against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. The Red Devils are looking to improve their squad in to bridge the gap between them and WSL powerhouses such as Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester City.
