The Sunday People are reporting today that the Aston Villa dressing room celebrated the news of Roy Keane departure from the club as Paul Lambert's assistant. Neil Moxley - the chief sportswriter of the newspaper also reports through a source that Keane suffered “a real head loss” after Villa's limp away defeat to QPR over a week ago.

The story goes on to report that the Villa players were informed of Keane's exit on Friday morning and the news was greeted with applause presumably because they didn't enjoy having someone remind them day after day that they are a wretched side that are barely mustering a shot on target in a game this season.

Manager Paul Lambert had to face the ire of the travelling Villa support during yesterday 1-1 draw with Burnley with many calling for his sacking.

That too we can guess, would be applauded by the long suffering Villa players.
