It's been five years since Celtic last played in the UEFA Champions League group stages, but today, they face reigning champions Real Madrid at Celtic Park tonight.

The Bhoys have had some spectacular European nights over the years. From winning the European Cup back in 1967, to those famous wins over Manchester United in 2006 and Barcelona back in 2012, they've had some special nights in Europe.

One moment that still lives long in the memory of Celtic supporters and football fans in general, was when Celtic beat then reigning Champions League holders AC Milan back in 2007.

Carlo Ancelotti was the man in charge of AC that night, and he returns to Glasgow this evening with Real Madrid.

A goal from Stephen McManus was cancelled out by a spotkick from Kaka, before a late strike from Scott McDonald sealed all three points in a famous win.

The events of the match have, however, been overshadowed by Dida's theatrical antics in stoppage time. As Celtic were celebrating their late winner, supporter Robert McHendry ran onto the pitch, past AC Milan keeper Dida and tapped him on the shoulder.

The Brazilian shot stopper initially chased McHendry, before throwing himself on the ground holding his face.

Bizarrely, Dida then had to be stretchered off, holding an ice pack to his face.

Dida was later suspended for two Champions League games for his over the top reaction to the incident.

During a hearing back in 2007, McHendry said that he "got carried away" with the celebrations after the late winner at Celtic Park.

I was running over to celebrate with the team. As I was running by I tapped the keeper of AC Milan on the shoulder. I said 'Unlucky, Dida' and continued running towards the team.

In the weeks following the crazy encounter, McHendry was sentenced to 120 hours of community service, but what a story McHendry has to tell from that historic day.
