Along with Hristo, Balikov and the boys, Yordon was one of the highlights of the World Cup 1994, along the official Ireland baseball cap, obviously. Letchkov went on to tumble out of the international spotlight following a spat with a John Toshack but then again who hasn't. The well known baldy Letchkov finds himself in the can this morning due to a two-year sentence being passed down in his native Bulgaria, this all comes as a result of an ill fated political career which saw Yordon elected as Mayor.
While at the reigns he took the well-travelled political path of looking out for some more than others, in spite of the rules and regulations. A sewerage deal that cost the taxpayer far too much and a number of tax audit cover ups all assisted to his final fall from grace this week. A veritable shitstorm for Yordon, however, it would remiss of us not to feature one of his better moments.
