2008 was a long time ago. Back then, Roy Keane was being touted as a potential United heir apparent, even a potential England manager. Keane paid a visit during the summer of 2008 to New Zealand to try and learn a few things from the All-Blacks. It looks like he dispensed a bit of wisdom himseld, as Kiwi coach Wayne Smith revealed to the Sydney Morning Herald, when discussing why he didn't take the England job:
