Eric Cantona showed last night he's still got it the skills, no matter what the shape of the ball. The former Manchester United legend, along with another enigmatic Frenchman in Marc Lievremont, were the joint referees for the half rugby-half football match between Marseille and Toulon at the Stade Mayol. In keeping with what must have been a fairly strange occasion, Cantona joined Toulon's ranks for the rugby half and attempted a French rugby version of crossbar challenge.

An estimated 12,000 fans attended the match played at Toulon's home ground in aid of a local cancer charity. Marseille edged the football 5-4 and surprisingly held Toulon to a 31-all draw in the rugby to win 36-35.
