The Second City derby was a victim of the sheer number of major sporting games on television this week, so much so that there was no station broadcasting it. Harry Redknapp's first game, some relegation permutations and an old-school derby, what's not to like?

Apart from Harry Redknapp of course. The wheeler-dealer ex-Spurs, QPR and Portsmouth boss now plies his trade in Birmingham. What better way to start his managerial spell than a trip to Villa Park where a win would all but guarantee Birmingham's survival?

Alas, things didn't work out too well for Harry. Gabriel Agbonlahor (yes, he's still at Villa) popped up to score his first goal in almost fourteen months of football. To be fair, he does love scoring against the Blues - this was his fifth strike against Birmingham in his career.

So how did Redknapp react to defeat? Speaking at his post-match press conference, Redknapp was apparently none too pleased with Steve Bruce's Villa, and so took a cheeky pop at the scourge of his first Birmingham derby, Gabby Agbonlahor.

Gabby? He's done well today. He’s come on and had 10 minutes. That will keep him happy for another year, won't it? Fantastic.

Incidentally, Agbonlahor has been out with a hamstring injury since the beginning of January.

You stay classy, Harry.
