Taking a player whose on a booking off is frequently seen as a wise thing to do for any football manager. However, no one expects that the act of coming off the pitch is enough for a player to receive his second booking and subsequent marching orders.
That is exactly what happened in last night's goalless draw between Notts County and Doncaster Rovers. New loan signing Kwame Thomas was brought off for Nott County in the 89th minute, only for the referee to give him a second yellow card for taking too long to get off the pitch.
So Kwame Thomas was sent off for a very harsh booking to begin with and again for being subbed. Now the Gaffer has been ordered off. 0-0

After a period of confusion, the referee produced the red card, and substitute Billy Daniels had to return to the bench
