Man United have reportedly held serious talks over transfer targets Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta and Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt, as they up their search for a goal scoring striker ahead of next season.
While Harry Kane is still their preferred target, they have ramped up their approach for Hojlund and Muani, in case Spurs chairman Daniel Levy blocks a move for the England striker.
We reported yesterday on Erik ten Hag's video calls with Hojlund, who would be seen as the more likely purchase over Muani, although the 24-year-old French striker is more proven than his 20-year-old Danish counterpart.
However, Man United's transfer hopes have been delivered a blow, with reports that Real Madrid are interested in both Kane and Kolo Muani, as they look for a replacement for the ageing Karim Benzema.
Spanish outlet AS have reported that Kane is a particular favourite of Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, while reports from Spain have said that Kolo Muani has 'offered' himself to the Spanish giants.
