Last week we said that the signings of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin wasn't the only good news on the transfer front for Manchester United fans as Real Madrid turned their attention from David De Gea to former goalkeeper Kiko Casilla.
Madrid reportedly had a €4m bid rejected to bring the Espanyol stopper back to the Bernabeu and now Spanish Newspaper AS have claimed that Casilla is on his way to the Los Blancos after they agreed a cut-price fee of €6m.
AS report that Espanyol are in €130m worth of debt, and this combined with Real already owning 50% of the players rights has led to the low price despite the 28-year-old's €20m release clause.

Casilla left Real in 2007 without making any first-team appearances and then graduated from Espanyol B to become the La Liga side's first choice keeper.
It is unclear how the signing of Casilla will affect Real Madrid's pursuit of David De Gea, but it is an encouraging sign for Manchester United fans.
Iker Casillas left for Porto last week, but if they sign Casilla it may not be necessary to make a move for the Spanish number one as they also have Keylor Navas in their ranks. However Real could return for De Gea on a free transfer next Summer.
