It is a real shame that Dream Team is off the air, as if the writers for Sky One's cult classic football-drama were to somehow managed to place the shitshow of a club that was Harchester United in the Champions League, they would have a very easy job making Real Madrid's away matches at the likes of the Camp Nou and the Vicente Calderon look like big European nights.
That is because Real Madrid's new away jersey is purple from head to toe.
In a tribute to Carl Fletcher, the one galactico that Real could never manage to seduce, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and the rest of the lads will be looking to defend their Champions League title in an all purple strip.

Good news if you're a fan of purple football jerseys, bad news if you're not.
I'm buying one with 'Rawsthorne 16' on the back, in memory of the finest fictional Irish footballer I ever did see.
