Jose Mourinho's lack of enthusiasm for the Europa League appears to have rubbed off on his players as they were absolutely shite against Feyenoord on Thursday night.
Tonny Vilhena got the goal to send the home fans into raptures and to leave Jose red faced, as United's stars again came in for criticism of their performance just days after defeat in the Manchester derby.
A number of players such as Matteo Darmian, Morgan Schneiderlin, Chris Smalling, and Marcos Rojo were given minutes that they had not been seeing up to this early point in the season, and United did indeed look off the pace, but it was the Argentinian who took the brunt of the stick in social media.
Marcos Rojo has been seen as a liability by Man Utd fans for some time now, but he struggled badly in Holland and won't want to be checking his twitter notifications anytime soon.
Some of the responses were hilarious to be fair.
If you could somehow transplant Marcos Rojo's entirely misplaced self-confidence into Matteo Darmian, you'd have a functional full-back

How does Marcos Rojo play for Manchester United

Rojo is all over the place. I'd actually have Alex Buttner over him at left back.

Van gaals worse mistake wasn't playing boring possession football, it was buying Marcos Rojo

Marcos Rojo vs Feyenoord: 0/4 successful crosses 0% tackle win rate 0% aerial duel win rate 2 fouls [Squawka] #MUFC

We should have played Darmian at right back and Fosu Mensah at left back. Marcos Rojo should be dropped off at the Airport, permanently.

1-0 Feyenoord. Why on earth has Marcos Rojo been allowed wear a Manchester Utd jersey again?! He's a shambles

What we've learnt today? Marcos Rojo shouldn't play for United again. If you want mediocrity, you can feel bad for him. #mufc

The result is likely not going to matter too much in the grand scheme of things... The grand scheme being to stumble through the group stages before being knocked out by a side who actually want to play in the compeition.
However, every cloud has a silver lining, and in this case it appears to be that Jose Mourinho got a very good look at how bad Marcos Rojo is.
