It's another extremely yellow day on Sky Sports News as clubs around England attempt to either save their season or pretend the January transfer window doesn't even exist.
For all its flaws and irritable qualities, the window does offer both clubs and players an opportunity to reinvigorate themselves halfway through a season.
It was recently reported that estranged former Manchester United wonderkid Ravel Morrison, for instance, was back in England and training for his one-time United coach Warren Joyce at Wigan.
It was QPR fans, however, who were most excited by the enigmatic but supremely talented 23-year-old's return to his homeland, and with Wigan seemingly unwilling to offer Morrison a deal, Ian Holloway invited him up to London to train with his former club.
Since then, rumours have naturally indicated that Morrison will stay at QPR until the end of the season at least, on loan from parent club Lazio. Earlier today, Sky Sports reported that QPR were attempting to finalise a deal to secure Morrison's services, with QPR supporters - who have endured a difficult season - feverish in their excitement at the prospect of welcoming back the 2011 FA Youth Cup standout.
But then Sky reporter Kaveh Solhekol put an absolute kibosh on it, when he tweeted that Morrison's wage demands were, as things stood, too hot for QPR to handle.
But it seems Morrison was paying attention to Sky's coverage, and in a move reminiscent of the time when Liverpool's Lucas basically told Twitter charlatan IndyKaila to piss off, the former England under-21 pulled Solhekol up on a few issues with his original tweet.
@SkySportsNewsHQ wrong again🤔

I didn't no you could demand more wages on a loan deal 😂

Solhekol swiftly deleted his Morrison update, much to the enjoyment of Morrison's followers and general Transfer Deadline Day curmudgeons.
In fairness to the Sky Sports man, he's usually bang on the money with similar updates and transfer news (it was Solhekol, for example, who broke the news that Dimitri Payet wished to return to Marseille for family reasons and would reject moves to China). It would appear he was simply passed on some bad information on this occasion.
Meanwhile, QPR fans await for a Ravel Morrison loan deal to be completed.
