Yesterday BT Sport were forced to issue an apology after pundit David Ginola was caught live on air making a w***** sign behind presenter Jake Humphrey's back.

During this evening's broadcast of the excellent "Sunday night football" well respected German scribe Raphael Honigstein - believing he was still in rehearsal according to his twitter account, imitated Ginola's gesture.

Presenter James Richardson asked Honigstein if he'd like to apoligize soon after and he did. He then went on to present his usual articulate views on the latest Bundesliga news but after the third commercial break, Richardson again made reference to the gesture and announced that Honigstein had been asked to leave the show.

While it's obvious that BT Sport have to act on something like this, it's also obvious that this looks like a genuine mistake. Here's hoping Honigstein can return to Sunday night football and BT Sport can keep the same personnel on comfortably their best show.
