With the World Cup in Russia nearly upon us and every team (apart from Morocco and Iran) unveiling their World Cup kits for this summer's showpiece, Balls has collated all of the participating nation's home jerseys and ranked them, from worst to best.

Our World Cup Kits Ranking

30. Tunisia

Yuck.

29. Belgium

Looks like the golf version of a football jersey.

28. Russia

Bog standard. Uninspiring from the host nation. Looks like a jersey you could get in Aldi.

27. Sweden

Again, bog standard.

26. Egypt

Solid, if unspectacular.

25. Spain

Spain's home kit has an eighties vibe, but I am not digging it.

24. Uruguay

Another solid effort from Puma for Uruguay.

23. Serbia

No frills, and as a result fairly bland from the Serbs.

22. Denmark

Our Scandanavian conquerors with another plain effort.

21. South Korea

Meh.

20. Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia's is probably the most basic design of the lot, but it's got my seal of approval.

19. Costa Rica

Again an innovative pattern lifts Costa Rica's jersey above the mundane.

18. Iceland

Icelandic's jersey design is definitely bold, with the red and blue sleeves making it stand out against other nation's efforts. Bravo.

17. Panama

Kind of looks like a Liverpool jersey, thumbs up.

16. Japan

Recommended

Fair play to Japan, who have pushed the boat out with this curious dotted effort.

15. Colombia

Colombia's home jersey has split opinion in the office. Similar to Spain's one in its retro feel, Adidas' design works better here.

14. Croatia

An iconic design, but the jagged edges on the squares see it drop down a few spots.

13. Portugal

Portugal go simple and iconic with their home kit.

12. England

England, similarly minimalist, and yet again it works well.

11. Peru

Peru's red sash across the chest works well against the white.

10. Poland

Poland spice things up on the old white dynamic, and it works a treat.

9. Mexico

Mexico's deep green works well with some stripes on each side of the chest accentuating the top. Classy.

8. Switzerland

Some people may argue it looks something like an ordnance survey map, but I think the pattern looks well against Switzerland's deep red.

7. Senegal

A fairly standard jersey made great by the striking lion pattern running across the chest.

6. Australia

Extra points for the stylish sleeve design.

5. Nigeria

One of those 'love it or loath it' jerseys, I am camped firmly in the former.

4. Argentina

Adidas have improved a classic jersey with subtle blue square gradient on the strips.

3. Brazil

Is it only up this high because it's Brazil? Maybe. But fuck it, as Brazil's classic yellow jersey has become a symbol for the World Cup over the years.

2. Germany

A nod to their iconic 1990 World Cup jersey, Die Mannschaft will be looking slick in Russia.

1. France

Franc and Nike's effort is stunning, with the needled design on the shoulders just about clinching top spot. Gorgeous.
