Just when Leeds United fans thought things couldn't get any worse, the football club operating as 'Rangers FC' are reportedly interested in their star striker, Kemar Roofe.
After seeing their drive of promotion fall apart in a crazy 50 minute play-off performance against Derby County, supporters (including yours truly) found some semblance of hope in the rumours that they were about to be bought by Qatar and were going to sign Gianluigi Buffon and Fransecso Totti.
Fast forward a few weeks and their defensive powerhouse Pontus Jansson is on his way out the door - to Brentford apparently - and now Roofe may be following him. And there's still no bloody sign of the Qataris!
The Scottish Sun have reported that Rangers are interested in Roofe as a possible replacement for Alfredo Morelos, should he leave the Glasgow club this summer. With a £5m bid rumoured, Leeds supporters would have been hoping it was just idle speculation but not according to the BBC's Adam Pope:
Roofe to Glasgow Rangers definitely has legs. #lufc

However, please welcome to the stage, the white knight himself, Mr Jim White. The all-knowing king of transfer speculation has a source who has dimissed it as "agent talk."
Source close to @LUFC puts Kemar Roofe-to-@RangersFC speculation down to “agent talk.” Yorkshire club has had no approaches for the player.

Should he leave then Leeds' promotion chances would be greatly hampered, with Patrick Bamford their only other recognisable striker, and at times last year you wouldn't recognise him as a striker at all! (Only joking, Pat, please answer Mick McCarthy's phonecalls!)
