The past couple of seasons have been far from ideal for Rangers FC fans.

From watching their biggest rivals dominate Scottish football, to seeing their most successful manager of recent times depart at the first opportunity, the blue side of Glasgow has had little to celebrate.

Now, after parting ways with manager Michael Beale, the club are in search of their third manager since Steven Gerrard left in 2021.

Giovanni Van Bronckhorst did deliver some silverware for Rangers FC in the form of a Scottish Cup and also helped them to a Europa League final, only to lose on penalties to Frankfurt.

Following just over a year in charge, Van Bronckhorst was replaced by Michael Beale, but the Englishman lasted 10 months at the club.

Despite having the second-highest win percentage of any Rangers manager, fans were happy with his exit and now they're on the look-out for his successor.

Rangers FC fans fume with Frank Lampard rumours

While the club has had recent success with a Premier League great at the helm, it's clear that supporters want to stay as far away as possible from Frank Lampard.

The former Chelsea man started his managerial career with quite a lot of potential, only to see his chances at top-level management disintegrate. A difficult spell at Chelsea was followed by an underwhelming time in charge at Everton, but the worst of all came most recently, when he was named as interim boss at Chelsea for the final games of the 2022/23 season.

Sadly for Lampard, he failed to win a single game in charge of his beloved blues.

According to The Telegraph, the 106-time England international is interested in the vacant managerial post at Ibrox.

Supporters have been quick to make their feelings towards Lampard known.

While it's unlikely that Lampard will be aware of the discontent among fans with the rumours of his arrival at Ibrox, he will have a lot to do if he's to win over the Rangers fans.
