There was a huge result atop the SPL today, as Motherwell overturned table-toppers Rangers at Ibrox 2-1.
The winner was scored by Dubliner Dan Casey, who last played for Bohemian FC back in 2020 before heading to America to join the Sacramento Republic for two seasons.
Rangers had won 11 consecutive games heading into the game and the result leaves the door open for Celtic to take back control of the SPL title race: a win away to Hearts on Sunday would mean Celtic are alone at the top of the table. Motherwell, meanwhile, find themselves in eight place.
The goal - a header at the back post from a free kick in the 75th minute - was Casey's first for the club, and we must say the Rangers TV commentator was not very generous with his commentary of the goal.

Motherwell boss defends Dan Casey
Casey was also involved in a first half tackle that saw Ross McCausland of Rangers substituted. The tackle was criticised by Rangers manager Philippe Clement but Motherwell boss Stuart Kettlewell defended his player.
"That becomes the talking point of the game but obviously I would rather talk about our performance. I'd need to see the one with Dan Casey back but I would say it's 60/40, maybe even more, in his favour. He wins the ball, comes through with it cleanly.
Rangers manager Phillipe Clement said luck was not on Rangers side today:
We missed efficiency today in both boxes from players who were doing well last week, being very solid, the best defence in the league.
"On the other side, Motherwell made several good saves, blocks in front of goal - It was one of those days. We had a disappointing evening because luck was not on our side. We have to move on and hope the luck is on our side next time
Casey was a brilliant dual player in his youth, having played inside centre for CBS Monkstown while captaining St Joseph's Boys in Sallynoggin. Casey chose football and joined the Sunderland academy before returning to the League of Ireland.
