As Manchester United enter the final period of the season, it seems as though Erik ten Hag is battling for his future at the club.
Results have been massively disappointing this season, with United struggling to keep pace with the top four and being eliminated from the Champions League at the first hurdle. However, what has been arguably even more worrying is the team's level of performance.
Even in games they have won, United have often been outplayed by what many would class to be inferior opposition. They have been particularly poor at the back, with only three teams facing more shots in the Premier League. In attack, they continue to look disjointed and seem to lack any discernible patterns of play.
That ultimately comes down to the manager, with new majority owner Jim Ratcliffe non-committal on Erik ten Hag's future when asked about the Dutchman recently.

Ralf Rangnick gives advice on next Manchester United boss
Unless things improve quite a bit over the coming weeks, it is looking increasingly unlikely that Erik ten Hag will not be at Old Trafford next season.
New ownership groups always prefer to employ their own managers, with Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS keen to completely overhaul the footballing structures at Manchester United.
It seems as though they have reached out to Ralk Rangnick on what to do next.
The current Austria boss was not a hugely popular figure during his time at interim manager at the club a couple of years ago, although many of his complaints about the club have proven to be well-founded. He was initially meant to stay on in an advisory role after leaving as head coach, although that did not happen after Erik ten Hag was thought to be unhappy with the arrangement.
However, it seems the new ownership group has sought out his advice on their managerial situation.
According to iNews, Ralf Rangnick has made a recommendation to INEOS that Julian Nagelsmann be appointed as the next Manchester United manager.
Nagelsmann is currently the manager of Germany, although he stepped into that role on a short-term deal that only lasts until the end Euro 2024. It is thought that he is keen to return to club management next season.
Rangnick knows the 36-year old well, with the pair having worked together at RB Leipzig. While his time at Bayern Munich did not quite work out, he is still considered one of the best up and coming coaches in world football.
More importantly, Nagelsmann demands that his team play with a clear and defined footballing philosophy, something that has long been lacking at Manchester United. With Dan Ashworth also set to run the show as director of football, he would have no issue working under such a structure having done so at Leipzig.
It is a move that would certainly make sense.
