Manchester United's ongoing saga with midfielder Paul Pogba could be at an end as the Frenchman wants to leave the club according to his agent Mino Raiola.
The 26-year-0ld did not return to Manchester this week for pre-season training after he was an extended holiday by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Solsjkaer described Pogba as " vital for our future" earlier this year and had indicated he plans on using him during their pre-season despite the speculation.
However, speaking to The Times, superagent Raiola said Pogba wants to leave.
Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.
Everyone within the club, from the manager to the owner, knows Paul's wishes.
He went on to add that can't confirm Pogba would travel with the squad to Australia: "cannot tell you anything. I live day by day."
It is not the first time Raiola has irritated the club, with Manchester's hierarchy reportedly raging at a long list of public provocations in recent times.
Real Madrid have repeatedly been linked with Pogba, but given he is contracted to United until 2021 the Premier League side are not under immediate pressure to sell.
