Rafa Benitez and Sam Allardyce have beef. It's official.
It's always funny when grown men who have the enormous task of running a high-profile professional football club descend to something as petty as taking shots at their fellow managers, and that is exactly what happened when Sam Allardyce took shots at Rafa in his book.
The guidelines for releasing an autobiography in football these days appear to work on a shared idea that your book will not sell unless you talk shit about someone, and sure enough Big Sam suggested that Rafa had nothing to do with Liverpool's Champions League win in 2005.
In response, Rafa has given a very sassy reply, but in doing so he has revealed what we are calling a quite frankly disgusting lack of League of Ireland knowledge when he said:
Allardyce is what happens when you get a book in England. His opinion has little value.
How many titles has Allardyce won? That tells you all.
Big Sam has never won a trophy has he? What about when he won the League of Ireland First Division title with Limerick as a player manager in 1991/92?
You've never won anything as a player manager Rafa, so we'd suggest you pick your battles.
