Qualifying for the Champions League is a difficult task now, but doing so in the early days of the competition was an even bigger ask. For decades, only teams who won their domestic leagues would be entered into the tournament the next season.
Of course, this meant clubs could go a number of years without playing in the European Cup, something that would be unimaginable for the top clubs in the modern game.
In contrast to the current era, the first few years of the tournament saw a big variety in the English clubs that took part. In total, 17 have managed it down through the years. Can you remember them all?
We want you to name every English club to feature in the European Cup/Champions League. To help you out, we have also given you the year that each team made their competition debut.
You will have eight minutes to get them all. Best of luck!
