2011, what a glorious time for Irish football.
A time of Euros qualification, of belief in the gospel of Trap and an as yet unchastened confidence in the ability of the Irish team to overcome discrepancies in talent and skill. It was also, most importantly, the time of victory and silverware. A time when Trap's Army wowed the Aviva Stadium masses to WIN the inaugural (and only) Carling Nations Cup.
We opened the campaign in February 2011 with a comfortable 3-0 victory of this Friday's opponents Wales. Trapattoni put out a decent team for this match, the opening game of the tournament, and the team responded in kind with a comfortable win. Something similar this Friday will do nicely.
We want you to name the starting XI from that historic night, and you've got six minutes to do it. It shouldn't be a problem if you were as glued to The Nations Cup as we all were.
