Lower League Spanish Clash Produces Phantom Goal

A lower league Spanish football match between Quintanar del Rey and Toledo last weekend produced one of the strangest decisions seen on a football pitch. After a Quintanar player had a shot from distance, which hit the underside of the bar and went wide, the referee awarded a goal, suggesting that the ball had crossed the line.
