Queens Park Rangers' 20-year-old midfielder is one of the most exciting Irish youngsters in the game right now, as the Galway man has been in continually impressive form for Ian Holloway's side since making his debut on New Year's Eve.
His manager was glowing in his report of the Galway man, and said the following having given him a start against Wolves:
I think Ryan Manning was absolutely outstanding and epitomised what my QPR was before and what I want it to be in the future.
He epitomised what I’m all about. He showed heart, fight – that’s also as good a debut as I’ve seen. And I thought the lads really helped him out.
Thursday night's fixture between Reading and QPR have us a chance to get a good look at two of Ireland's brightest future prospects in Liam Kelly and Ryan Manning, but it was the latter who grabbed our attention with a frankly delicious assist for Jamie Mackey shortly before the half-hour mark.
The vision and execution is best seen in the replay, as you get to see all of the out-side-of-the-boot goodness.
That's top-drawer.
It's very encouraging, so here's hoping he can kick on and have a great second half of the season and hopefully we'll see Martin O'Neill give him a call up in the near future.
