Watch: BT Pundits Crack Up As Alex Ferguson Explicitly Explains Why He Never Signed Ian Wright

Alex Ferguson had a great time at Wembley yesterday, where he watched Manchester United win their first trophy since his departure in 2013 after mercilessly ripping the piss out of Tinie Tempah's jacket.

Ferguson briefly joined former stalwarts Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand on the BT panel, along with Arsenal legend Ian Wright and presenter Jake Humphreys.

Amidst the back-and-forths and good natured jibes, Ian Wright put it to the former United boss that he should have signed him - presumably from Crystal Palace circa 1991, when he joined Arsenal for a club record £2.5m.

Fergie, with his back to camera - and presumably unfamiliar with the concept of being 'mic'd up' - responded with the statement:

Signed you? You were too fucking dear!

Cue fits of laughter from Wright, who clearly appreciated the back-handed compliment, and Scholes and Ferdinand who probably foresaw such a cutting remark from their old boss.
