When we first saw the 3D Puma boots that are due to be released later this year, we thought they were an interesting, but ultimately frivolous gimmick, but now we have upgraded our view to full on piss take after seeing the disclaimer that each boot comes with.
If you do decided to shell out $250 for a pair of 3D Puma evoSPEED boots, you can rest easy with the knowledge that you'll need to buy another new pair after just 10 games. Because that's how long they were built to last. Seriously.
You can ONLY use them on grass, and they will only last 10 games? Sounds like a great deal.
While Daniel Sturridge will probably get two good seasons out of them, the rest of us would probably be better served buying a pair of boots that were not built to disintegrate after a few months.
But the memories it creates will last forever.
Pull the other one.
At least you'll look slick for all the spectators who spot you on their way home from the cinema. Although in fairness if you've got the funds to drop that sort of money for 10 games worth of boots then you've probably bought much more stupid things in the past.
