This is just nice to see.
We have already seen how the footballers from around the Premier League and Europe wished Luke Shaw a speedy recovery on twitter, and of course clubs like Southampton and Arsenal also took time out to wish the young full-back well, but now the PSV Eindhoven fans have come together and collected money to send flowers to Luke Shaw in hospital.
PSV defender Hector Moreno expressed his regret at what happened earlier in the week and offered his apologies to Shaw, but now the club's supporters have gone and make a lovely gesture which will no doubt be well received by both Shaw and Manchester United.
PSV Supporeters group Eindhoven Dagblad spokesperson Thijs Slegers made a brief but strong statement on the gesture:
This is the way how you deal with an opponent in professional football.
Correct. For all the absolute bile you see on twitter when something like the Shaw injury happens, this is how real supporters conduct themselves. Speaking of twitter, the reaction to this gesture has been unanimously popular on the social media site:
if true, it's truly heartwarming to hear the PSV fans sent flowers to Luke Shaw in hospital in Eindhoven.
