It may not always be easy on the eye, but Route One can be devastatingly effective.
Paris Saint-Germain are already running away with the Ligue 1 title, but they were made sweat on Saturday against minnows Dijon. PSG have only dropped two points in their opening eight games before they made the trip south-east to Dijon.
Right-back Thomas Meunier had given the Parisians the lead and they looked on course for three points, before Dijon's Benjamin Jeannot scored an outstanding volley from 30-yards.
Jeannot's goal was direct football at its brilliant best.
Despite the late equaliser, PSG were able to find a late winner through Meunier in the second minute of added-time.
Understandably Jeannot went crazy after scoring, but the team clearly thought they had earned the draw. Dijon are one of the favourites for relegation this season. Those dropped two points could be crucial.
