Jack Grealish has had a fine week - he secured a critical three points for Aston Villa with this howitzer against Cardiff City.
Ever since, he has set about roaring to any Irish football fans who still harbour faint hopes that he chucks in his lot with England and returns to these shores: "CAN I BE ANY CLEARER".
The Daily Mail (who else) reported after the game that Grealish gave his shirt to the watching Prince William, who in turn said he hoped that the former Irish youth international is called up to Gareth Southgate's England team.
After the game - which Prince William randomly watched with John Carew - Prince William spoke to fans, and the Mirror report that he told fans that he will insist his next child is called "Jack....or Jackie".
While the English press are tearing themselves apart as they perceive this as a hint as to the sex of Prince William's next child, the real news line here is that Jack Grealish is as British as crumpets or speaking English in a foreigner's accent in a blithe attempt to bridge a language divide.
