It was an interesting weekend of Premier League football with Liverpool winning away to Stoke to seal 3 massive points and Chelsea and Spurs routing substandard opposition. Here is your XI from the weekend that was.
GK - Fraser Forster
Forster made a number of stunning saves, denying Dawson and McClean to be named Man of the Match for the Saints yesterday
Fraser Forster vs #WBA:
-71% pass accuracy
-6 saves
-3 punches
-1 claim

LB - Luke Shaw
Given all the shenanigans from his manager, credit to Luke Shaw for his performance today. Admittedly, it came against Sunderland but Shaw looked composed after being questioned again in the media by Mourinho. Assisted Mkhitaryan as well.
Shaw put in a good 60 minutes there. An assist too. Well done @LukeShaw23! #SUNMUN #MatchdayMac

CB - John Stones
It was a fairly straightforward demolition of Hull City by Man City yesterday at the Etihad but Stones was a stand-out performer, anchoring a defense that featured Kolorov, Navas and Claudio Bravo.
Earned an in 8 in the Manchester Evening News player ratings.
CB - Maya Yoshida
Yoshida is finally cementing his place in the Southampton XI. He scored during the week versus Palace and has ably filled the void in central defense left during Virgil Van Dijk's injury spell. Yoshida captained Southampton in their win over West Brom yesterday and has become something of a fan favourite in 2017.

Always been a fan of @MayaYoshida3 happy he's getting the credit he deserves #saintsfc

RB - Kieran Trippier
Kieran Trippier kept Kyle Walker out of the Spurs team yesterday for their 4-0 thrashing of Watford and amazingly he now leads Premier League defenders in assists. Go figure!
Crazy stat: No defender has recorded more assists (3) in 2017 than Kieran Trippier. He's only played 5 games!#THFC #coys #tottenham #spurs

M - Fabian Delph
Credit to Delph who surprisingly has found himself in the Man City team TWICE this week and even bagged a goal yesterday against lowly Hull.
448 - Fabian Delph has scored his first Premier League goal since netting against Crystal Palace in January 2016, 448 days ago. Relief.

M - Eden Hazard
Hazard has been scorching teams over the last month and he added Bournemouth to the teams he has disgraced.
Eden Hazard's game by numbers vs. Bournemouth:
93% pass accuracy
4 crosses
3 chances created
3 take-ons
1 shot
1 goal

M - Heung-Min Son
Harry Kane's injury has been a godsend for Heung-Min Son, who might be playing his way into a few Team of the Year XI's.
Heung Min Son with 18 goals, 9 assists in 26 starts, an unbelievably underrated player who's in the form of his life right now. #COYS#THFC pic.twitter.com/QtFh8TL9V6

F - Philippe Coutinho
That Coutinho managed 45 minutes and a huge goal despite losing 3kg in 3 days earns him a spot in this team.
Klopp: "#Coutinho lost 3 kilograms in three days - for most of us that would be good news but for a professional footballer it is not."

F - Romelu Lukaku
13 league goals this year. 23 goals this season. Lukuku is the football version of the fire emoji.

F - Zlatan Ibrahimovic
A goal and an assist for Zlatan today who played as if he was punishing David Moyes for his dumb sexism. Also compared himself to Benjamin Button.
