Those of us who were born in the late 80s have become the most recent group of people to become suddenly aware at how old we are compared to the stars we watch week-in, week-out in the Premier League.
Having just come to terms that it is now legal for half the kids born in 1998 to buy and consume alcohol, we've been hit with an absolute hammer-blow from the Football League, as English football's first millennial made his debut this past weekend.
Callum Styles is a striker for Bury, and he was introduced for his debut in the second half of a 3-2 win over Southend, having been born on March 28th, 2000.
Setting records again - Callum Styles is the first player born in 2000 to play in the Football League - he's one of our own #buryfc

And it's only going to get worse.
While the likes of John Terry and his date of birth which ends in 1980 had been keeping things in order somewhat, the fact that we are all really old and not getting any younger has been shoved down our throats with the emergence of several teenage stars in the Premier League, such as:
Alex Iwobi - Arsenal - May 3, 1996
Shea Ojo - Liverpool - June 19, 1997
Marcus Rashford - Man United - October 31, 1997
Reece Oxford - West Ham - December 16, 1998
Jonathan Leko - West Brom - April 24, 1999
That's enough sports news for today. Someone give me a packet of Werther's Originals and a nice comfy chair.
